Details
Terra Natura Benidorm moves away from the traditional zoo model to implement "zoo-immersion." Its 320,000 square meters are divided into areas representing America, Asia, and Europe, where vegetation and architectural elements hide the fences, creating the illusion of an open environment. Beyond entertainment, the park positions itself as a center for conservation and research, participating in European programs for the protection of endangered species, such as the Indian rhinoceros and the Asian elephant.
The experience focuses on educational contact. The park's layout requires visitors to undertake an extensive walking tour, allowing for the unhurried observation of more than 1,500 animals from 200 different species. It is a visit that combines scientific outreach with environmental awareness, with its work in the care of birds of prey and big cats being particularly noteworthy. Its location, adjacent to Terra Mítica, makes it a key destination for family tourism with an interest in nature.
